[ワーホリ70日目]ブラジル人のルームメイトが日本旅行から帰ってきた日

日記

こんにちは。今日は一日仕事をした日!

仕事を1日する日をもうちょっと増やしたい、、

A Day of Work at the Restaurant

I worked the whole day at the restaurant.

Recently, going to work hasn’t been so stressful.

I just want to work freely and, if possible, enjoy it.

My coworkers are around 40 or 50 years old, so there are some generational differences.

They often talk about their health and body maintenance.

I have some health issues, but not as many as they do.

Learning and Being Praised

My coworkers and boss praised me because I always try to learn how to cook the menu items I don’t know.

My boss was surprised that I could handle orders without needing to be told.

A Sweet Break

During my break, I went to Coles to buy apples and grapes.

It was my first time buying grapes, and they were so sweet and refreshing.

In Brisbane, grapes cost $5.50 per kilogram, which I find reasonable.

If they were this affordable in Japan, I would buy them every day.

Sharing the Bounty

After finishing work, I took home some food like sushi and chicken.

I got too much, so I shared it with my friends.

The best thing about working at the restaurant is getting free food.

The biggest expenses in Australia are rent and food, so I’m glad to reduce my costs this way.

Welcoming My Roommate Back

When I returned home, my roommate had just come back from a two-week trip to Japan.

He talked about his travels and showed me souvenirs, like a school uniform from “Boku no Hero Academia” and candy from Ghibli.

It made me happy to hear that he enjoyed my home country.
