A Day at the Sushi Restaurant and Life in Australia

Starting the Day with Karaage Chicken
Today, I worked at the sushi restaurant from 10 AM to 2 PM, so it was a relatively easy shift for me.
I began my shift by making Karaage chicken.
Typically, I prepare a large amount of Karaage in the morning.
While getting the restaurant ready to open, I had the chance to chat with my coworkers about various topics.
Why Choose Australia? Diverse Reasons from Coworkers
We discussed why each of us chose to come to Australia.
There were many reasons, such as coming on a working holiday or marrying an Aussie.
One reason stood out to me: one coworker chose to live in Australia because, after traveling around the world, she found that the Australian climate suited her best.
I really like this reason because it shows she has lived in many countries and still chose Australia, highlighting its appeal as one of the most attractive countries in the world.
Today’s job at the restaurant was short, so I’m not too tired.
Meeting My Housemate and His Dog
After coming back to my house, I met my housemate and his dog.
We talked about his dog, who has no sensation around his hip.
I’ve never seen the dog bark or bite anyone.
When I first met him, he liked me right away.
He is smart and so cute, but he is 13 years old (91 in human years).
He has many physical problems like joint inflammation and infections, but he still has the energy to eat.
He loves watermelon, so if I’m still living here on his birthday, I’m going to buy him some watermelon.
Writing My Diary in English
I started writing my diary in English.
Before coming to Australia, I wrote my diary in English every day just for myself.
However, I stopped and started writing my diary in Japanese as a blog.
When deciding which language to use for my blog, I chose Japanese to provide accurate information.
Until three days ago, I wrote my diary in Japanese, but I realized that I needed to improve my English.
So, I decided to write in English again.
My English skills are still developing, so I’m learning correct English and expanding my vocabulary with the help of ChatGPT.

Working at the Second Restaurant
I worked at the second restaurant today, and it was also a busy day.
I took a booking over the phone without any mistakes, and they taught me some new vocabulary.
Speaking with customers on the phone helps improve my English skills.
Although I didn’t make any mistakes today, I feel quite tired.
