Working at a Japanese Restaurant in Brisbane and the Excitement of Redcliffe Festival
Today, I worked at a Japanese restaurant in Brisbane.
I started my shift at 12 PM, but it was quite quiet.
I think the reason is the festival in Redcliffe, which is the nearest seaside town to my house.
I have great memories of Redcliffe, even without a festival, so I imagine the festival would be amazing.
My friend worked at the festival there, and he told me it was extremely crowded and busy.
You know, Redcliffe isn’t as famous as the Sunshine Coast or Gold Coast, but I really want to attend a festival like that.
I know there are a lot of festivals in Brisbane, so I’ve decided to go if I have the chance.
Working at the restaurant wasn’t special today because I think I’ve learned everything I can about the job.
Now, I need to focus on being friendlier with customers and memorizing the change I need to give back.
(In Australia, we usually don’t use cash, so I had never handled it before using the cash register.)
Costco petrol station
Costco in Australia has petrol stations where you can get petrol at a reasonable price.
If you have a Costco card, you should go there just for the petrol.
You can use a card from Japan.
(If you want to come to Australia, you should get a card in Japan because it’s cheaper than getting one in Australia.)
Today, I went to Costco just to get petrol, so I didn’t go inside. Once I go into Costco, my desire to buy something always kicks in 🙂
I wrote about how to become a Costco member in Australia in this article.
