こんにちは。今日はオーストラリアのワーホリを通じて自分の幸せの形を見つけた日です。
ただ全てがうまくいったわけではなかった、、
A Day of Cooking, Friendship, and Learning in Australia
When I woke up, my friend came over to my share house, and we cooked breakfast together.
He is Japanese, so our idea of breakfast was inspired by “Howl’s Moving Castle.”
We went to the grocery store to buy bacon, lettuce, pizza, and lamb for breakfast and lunch.
It was delicious, and the bacon tasted similar to what we have in Japan.
Living with Kind Housemates
I live with three people in my house.
One of them suddenly gave me new sheets and a pillow cover.
We had promised to go to the mall to buy sleeping stuff for winter, but he bought them for me when he went to the mall.
I was surprised and touched.
I wanted to repay him, so I suggested paying him back, but he refused, saying, “We are friends, so you don’t need to pay me.”
He has a really good personality.
My friend and I cooked pizza, so I gave him a piece of pizza, some Coke, and a short thank-you note.
I really want to get along with him.
Meeting him has been one of the most pleasant experiences in Australia.
If I hadn’t decided to come to Australia, I wouldn’t have met him, so I’m proud of myself.
A Day at Redcliffe Beach
Today’s highlight was spending time at the beautiful Redcliffe Beach, the nearest beach to my house.
This beach isn’t as famous as the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast, but it is very clean, and the water isn’t too salty.
When I tasted the water, I realized this 🙂
There were various dogs and seagulls around.
We brought pizza and French fries and realized we should have brought some fruits like grapes.
We spent the day sleeping and eating, and it was one of the most precious times in my life.
Before coming to Australia, I didn’t know how important spending time in nature was for me.
Today, I learned the power of nature is wonderful.
Learning from Mistakes at the Restaurant
I worked as a hall staff at the restaurant and realized the importance of being careful with the cash register.
Despite doing my best, I made a mistake with a customer’s payment.
I received money but didn’t confirm the amount because the customer included change as a tip.
While talking with the customer, I forgot to check it.
After closing the account, I noticed an inconsistency because the change was too much.
I felt very depressed about this mistake.
I apologized to my boss and manager, and they reassured me, saying,
“No worries, just be careful next time. Everyone makes mistakes, so you should practice and check every time.”
I’m mentally exhausted today.
